Hey all, thanks for checking in!
Just a quick post to give you an insight into some of the match mechanics Brass Town has to offer.
The player begins the game as a rookie and the objective is to eventually become one of Brass Town's greatest champions and attend your very own Hall of Fame ceremony!
Matches take place at Brass Town Inn on a Monday and Tuesday evening.
There are five main storylines in the game, each with their own corresponding ten matches. These are
monster heel, heel, tweener, face and babyface. Which storyline and matches you play through will depend on the choices and relationships that are made as the game progresses. It is also possible for the player to unlock personal feuds and grudge matches by again, developing relationships with the residents of Brass Town throughout the game.
As the player wins their final match of their chosen storyline, they will be confronted by one of Brass Town's current champions and challenged to a match at the Special Event! It is possible to continue playing the game after winning by changing your character and storyline - this will unlock new opponents, cutscenes and championship opportunities!
The game offers a turn-based system for matches and moves can be learned in a variety of ways. They can be bought using experience (EXP) which is earned by wrestling in matches and sparring in the gym with Coach Sal. They can be unlocked by choosing your own wrestling style, and certain gimmicks, managers, accessories and relationships also unlock moves.
Opponents have various weaknesses to be exploited and the "study" mechanism can be used during matches to help if needed. A wide variety of moves serve different functions - some injure particular body parts, heal the player, recover stamina or set up the next move.
